  • “There is Room for EVERYONE on the Nice List at Lamar!"

    Student's please help us celebrate the holiday season with fun dress attire and festivities. Remember that all clothes must be school appropriate and follow the Irving ISD Dress Code. You may wear jeans if you are participating in the themed attire for the day. Please go to the Lamar Student Canvas Course for more details!!

    Help put a smile on the face of someone in need by donating a new toy and/or canned goods. We can't wait to share the holiday cheer with you as you drive through to drop off your donation. The first 50 students to make a donation will also receive a holiday treat!

School Supplies & School Uniforms

  • School Supplies 

    All students will need basic school supplies such as pencil and paper, in addition to headphones or earbuds and their Irving ISD issued iPad. Teachers will inform students of specific supplies needed for their class. 
    If your child is in need of a back pack with school supplies, please email your school counselor to arrange pick-up, M-F from 8 AM – 3 PM.

    School Uniforms

    During remote learning students are not required to wear their school uniform. However, we do ask that all students are wearing school appropriate tops and bottoms during all Live (Zoom) sessions. Once we return to in-person learning, students will be required to wear their school uniform. Lamar students may wear any color solid polo shirt and navy or khaki bottoms.


  • Lamar is a "Grab n Go" Meal Distribution Site for remote learners. 

    Starting Saturday, September 26, school meals for remote learners will be offered on Saturday mornings from 8:00-11:00 a.m. at the following locations: 
    MacArthur HS, Irving HS, Nimitz HS, Travis MS, Houston MS, Crockett MS, Lamar MS, Bowie MS

    Irving ISD will distribute a meal packet containing 7 breakfast meals and 7 lunch meals in a curbside "grab and go" style. 

    Per the Texas Department of Agriculture, parents/guardians must bring their child OR keep them at home and bring either their student ID, birth certificate, report card, or letter sent from the Food Service Department to receive meals.

    Students who choose in-person learning will receive their breakfast and lunch at school.

    All students, whether in-person or remote learners, will receive breakfast and lunch FREE of charge. There is no required application to receive free meals. For more information visit

    All students and staff will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms regularly and individuals who present with symptoms will be separated and sent home. 

    Screening Protocols

    • Staff will be asked to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms prior to reporting to work each day.  

    • Staff will have their temperature checked prior to entering the building.  

    • Parents/guardians are expected to screen their students for COVID-19 symptoms each day prior to sending their student to school.  

    • Teachers will monitor students and refer to the nurse if symptoms are present.

Purchase Lamar Game Tickets

  • To purchase game tickets for our Lamar Athletic events, please click the button below. Also, please remember if Lamar is the visiting team you will need to purchase tickets from the other school. For example, if 7th grade volleyball is playing at Austin MS, you will need to purchase the tickets from the Austin MS Section.
